Critics brand Brussels inequality conference a farce

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker has told a conference in Brussels, the EU must not become a fortress and fighting social inequality has to be a priority for political leaders.
Campaigners have branded the event a farce given the EU's ongoing efforts to prevent refugees from reaching the 28-nation bloc.
